Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By installing or using Granted Assets (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not install or use the Service. These Terms apply to all Merchants who access the Service through the Shopify App Store.

2. Description of service

Granted Assets is a Shopify application that enables Merchants to upload digital files, associate them with Shopify products, and automatically deliver secure download links to customers following a completed purchase.

3. Merchant obligations

As a Merchant, you agree to:

• Only upload and sell files to which you hold the necessary rights and licences
• Not use the Service to distribute malware, illegal content, or content that violates Shopify's Acceptable Use Policy
• Accurately represent your digital products to customers
• Comply with all applicable laws, including consumer protection and data privacy regulations
• Maintain appropriate refund and dispute resolution policies for your customers

4. Prohibited content

You may not use Granted Assets to distribute adult content, gambling software, counterfeit goods, content that infringes intellectual property rights, or any content prohibited by Shopify's policies or applicable law. We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these restrictions.

5. Billing and payment

The Free plan is available at no charge subject to stated limits. Pro plan fees are billed monthly through Shopify's billing system. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We reserve the right to modify pricing with at least 30 days' notice to active subscribers.

6. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of all files you upload. By uploading files to the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and deliver those files solely for the purpose of operating the Service. We claim no ownership over your content.

7. Service availability

We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We are not liable for losses resulting from downtime, data loss, or service interruptions. We will make reasonable efforts to notify Merchants of planned maintenance in advance.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Granted Assets shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits or data, arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the three months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate these Terms at any time. You may do so by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or if required by law. Upon termination, your files will be retained for 30 days before deletion.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Your Jurisdiction]. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of [Your Jurisdiction].

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will provide at least 14 days' notice of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
